Oppa Lantern Time … Seoul Lantern Festival 2012

Lighting lanterns along a stream that runs through the middle of Seoul is a big thing.  Here is the route that runs through the city.


I ended up walking the entire length of the festival during the day …  however at night, it’s definitely pretty.




Getting into Seoul during this time was rather nice as I haven’t seen “lanterns” in stream before. That being said … I think you can only appreciate some of these lanterns during the day. I don’t know but some of these lanterns just seem super creepy, racist or just “different”.





To put this all in context … you will also see a sign for a restaurant, that goes something like this …
